The Camberwell Art Show — give in support of student scholarships

Help a Swinburne student facing hardship picture a brighter future.

For nearly 60 years, the Rotary Club of Camberwell's Art Show has brought the community together around a shared love of art — and a shared belief in giving back. The longest-running and largest art show in the Southern Hemisphere, it has raised over $3 million for humanitarian projects since it began in 1966, and today is proudly hosted at Swinburne's Advanced Technologies Centre in Hawthorn.

Beyond the prize money, every cent raised goes to charity. Each year, the Art Show funds four annual scholarships for first-year Swinburne students experiencing financial hardship — awarded to students who, despite their own challenges, are committed to giving back to others through volunteering, coaching and community work.

This year, whether you're celebrating a special occasion, marking the show, or simply moved to help, you can give in lieu of a gift to support these scholarships. Every contribution goes directly to helping a talented student reach their full potential.

YOUR GIFT IN ACTION

Your gift supports the four hardship scholarships the Camberwell Art Show funds each year — $5,000 awards that help first-year Vocational Education or Higher Education students at Swinburne focus on their studies and thrive. It continues a partnership rooted in shared history: George Swinburne was a member of the very first Rotary Club in Australia, founded in 1921.

"Swinburne is a great partner. We're so pleased to be able to work with them." — Jonathan Oppy, Chair, Camberwell Rotary Art Show
